Working in Internal Med has proven to be quite the experience. So with a different patient I had today. This man is a paranoid schizophrenic, he came into the office to get lab results. A couple of weeks ago he had some blood drawn and he came back positive for HIV. (scary stuff) The provider and I had gone into the room for the Dr to give him his test results. ( lucky she had prefilled a syringe of meds just in case he freaked out ) Well he did freak out. So here he is thrashing around I grab the both of his wrist so the Dr can inject him. Well Mr. Crazy guy decides to bite me on the boob. Crazy guy calms down within seconds and security containers him until the ambulance comes to take up the the University Phyc.
But as soon as the security got there she took me to the other exam room to start checking me out, to see if his bite broke any skin. Thankfully I am a big fan of padded bras... and they usually have the lil air filled inserts. So no broken skin. The charge nurse and facility Dr had a pretty good laugh. Close call yes... but in the end everything is fine and once again Amanda diverts a crisis by sheer luck and a padded bra.

oh amanda your seriously nuts now i see why you and my wife get along so well. it just reminds me of the time we all went to victoria secret and you and emily were playing with the water filled inserts. you two are crazy.
